Lookie what I found!

Oh yes, after hours of scouring the internet for JUST the right fabric I FINALLY found it at... wait for it, this is the best part... the DI (local thrift store). NO kidding! For $5 for the set (they were sheets, but they will be awesome curtains, I am not covering the chair anymore :). SCORE!

Blast from the Past

Today marks one year from the day we moved out of our last house. I loved that house, and today I am feeling a little bit nostalgic. I know I will love the new house, but we put a lot into making that house a home, and I do miss it. Especially the playroom. Here are some photos of the old playroom... sniff... sniff :)

I LOVE the look and feel of this dining room, but let's be real I have a budget. I called just out of curiosity to get prices, and the bench at table alone would set me back about $5000.00. Hmmm, not quite in the budget. What's a crafty girl to do? Well, I found an old church pew on ksl in the just the right size for my dining nook, and have plans for Big Daddy to build me an awesome dining table. Just you wait, it will be awesome (I hope! :). I already have fun mismatched chairs from my old dining set, so a new coat of paint will make them work just great. Can't wait to start this project, and I will let you know what my budget comes to! :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Utah Parade of Homes

There were some great ones this year, but THIS one nailed everything I had in mind. Seriously, I did NOT copy my ideas from this house, I had my design boards done LONG before the parade, I SWEAR! I have a girls room similar to THIS,

and a boys room with corrugated steel like THIS, and so much more. LOVED this home, way to go McEwan!

The bathroom of my dreams...

This was one of my FAVORITE homes on the parade of homes tour. If I had an unlimited budget and no need for functionality, I would TOTALLY do the yellow and turquoise bathroom, LOVE!

I just stumbled across this, and I LOVE it! My kids were so sad to leave our playroom in our old house, I might have to do something like this in the new house to make them happy :)
