Mind you, these are rough, but you get the ideas :) Miss Priss's room (above) - and here is a link to a tutorial for DIY vintage silhouettes :)

I MIGHT be obsessed with white kitchens...

just maybe... but seriously, everywhere I look I fall in love with them all over again. My cabinet guy and designer SIL have tried to talk me out of it, but I am sticking to my guns. White kitchen it is! I love the one on the bottom with the blue tile backsplash, if I decide to be brave :)
Or I might change it up with a fun colored island - LOVE this one (above)!
The blue morrocan-style tiles above (top sample) would be a super-fun kitchen backsplash as well.  I am still up in the air about that one, I might be boring and go with white subway tile for the backsplash, I change my color preferences too often to commit to colored tile, but we'll see :)

Farmhouse Kitchen Sink

After waiting 2 weeks for delivery {and coveting them for years}, my fabulous farmhouse sink finally arrived via freight... only to find it shattered... looks like it will be another 2 weeks of waiting for my must-have kitchen sink :)

Lookie what I found!

Oh yes, after hours of scouring the internet for JUST the right fabric I FINALLY found it at... wait for it, this is the best part... the DI (local thrift store). NO kidding! For $5 for the set (they were sheets, but they will be awesome curtains, I am not covering the chair anymore :). SCORE!

Coolest Firetruck Bed EVER!

I want to do this in my kids' playroom, but add a slide and put a platform on top, no mattress. LOVE!

Blast from the Past

Today marks one year from the day we moved out of our last house. I loved that house, and today I am feeling a little bit nostalgic. I know I will love the new house, but we put a lot into making that house a home, and I do miss it. Especially the playroom. Here are some photos of the old playroom... sniff... sniff :)
awe, look how little my Little Man was then! This was taked just after the playroom was finished in August of 2008.

I feel a copy-cat-for-cheaper challenge coming on!

I LOVE the look and feel of this dining room, but let's be real I have a budget. I called just out of curiosity to get prices, and the bench at table alone would set me back about $5000.00. Hmmm, not quite in the budget. What's a crafty girl to do? Well, I found an old church pew on ksl in the just the right size for my dining nook, and have plans for Big Daddy to build me an awesome dining table. Just you wait, it will be awesome (I hope! :). I already have fun mismatched chairs from my old dining set, so a new coat of paint will make them work just great. Can't wait to start this project, and I will let you know what my budget comes to! :)
